AGC of America will conduct the first in a series of webinars on December 11, 2008, entitled Building a Successful Long-term Strategy for Sustainable Performance. AGC and FMI will partner over the next several months to provide compelling programs for contractors. The benefit of a webinar is that attendees do not need to travel to gain training and professional development.
Webinars are similar to a web-cast, and provide a unique conferencing service. However, unlike a web-cast, webinars allow for interaction between the presenter and the audience. They can be designed to provide one-way communication or they can be very collaborative. The technology allows for polling and question & answer sessions which facilitates participation between the audience and the presenter. In some cases, webinar presenters speak over a standard telephone line. In others, the audio is delivered from the the attendees desktop.
